Hybrid Surgery: Instrumented Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion Combined with Interspinous Locker Fixation

Abstract
Adjacent segment degeneration is an important delayed complication after lumbar interbody fusion. The goal of hybrid surgery, i.e., instrumented lumbar interbody fusion combined with dynamic stabilization at the adjacent segment, is to prevent the future incidence of adjacent segment degeneration. We report a patient who underwent hybrid surgery involving use of instrumented anterior lumbar interbody fusion combined with interspinous Locker (WINNOVA Inc., Seoul, Korea) fixation for degenerative lumbar spinal disease.
